Our #GLBride of the week is Christine Tran, who wed her fiancé in our G-210. The couple held their elegant destination wedding in Italy at the cliffside village of Positano. In the following interview, Christine shares with us the details surrounding her romantic Italian wedding and the moment she knew our G-210 was simply ‘The One’. As told by Christine:

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little bit about your relationship.

We met at a bar. His friend came up to me and said: “Have you met my friend Ryan?” I looked at him, thought it was cute and said not yet!

How did he propose?

A bit of a long story behind this but originally he was planning to propose in Positano, Italy as Italy was our first international trip together and is a special place for us. We were in Amalfi Coast and Santorini two years ago. The last morning in Santorini he woke me up and asked me to get ready for something he had planned that day. Once I was ready he got me and took me to our hotel pool and proposed.

How did you start planning your wedding? What were the first steps?

The first step was deciding on a destination wedding and location. We then decided on a wedding planner to help push us on making decisions.

Did you do any beauty or fitness prep for your big day?

I hired a personal trainer and was going 3 times a week when I was not traveling. I did a little beauty prep prior to the wedding with facials but overall did not do too much.

What was your wedding theme?

The theme of my wedding was blush, coral and whites. I wanted my wedding to be classy, elegant but also romantic.

How did you choose your location?

We chose our location because this was the exact hotel he was going to propose. The story behind the proposal was that the ring he got made never arrived before our trip to Italy and Greece. While we were in Italy his jewelry broker was going to fly to Italy to deliver it but it never made it. He ended up hand delivering it Santorini. So when planning the wedding we decided on getting married at the exact hotel he was going to propose in Positano. We got married at the terrace where he was planning to propose.

How did you find your perfect dress?

This was the 2nd dress I had tried on. I immediately knew it was the one and fell in love with it! I ended up visiting probably 5 other salons before deciding this was the dress. I wanted to make sure I did not miss out on seeing other styles I may have loved.

How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?

My experience was great! I loved how easy it is to work with the teams and everyone made me feel beautiful.

What was the most important thing for you and your husband when planning your wedding?

To be happy and have our closest friends and family with us. I did not want to become a bridezilla so I made sure to not have too much pressure on the wedding, that way we just enjoyed the day and had fun!

What was your first wedding song?

John Legend’s “All Of Me”

What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?

Surprisingly the best part was picking out my dress! I think it’s such a fun experience.

What advice would you give to all our future brides?

The best advice I would give is to know that everything will come together and not over stress. Having a wedding planner really helped with allowing everything to come together perfectly.

What moment from your wedding will you never forget?

The dancing. We had a live Italian band and that was the best time! We had so much fun dancing together with our friends, and family.
