Our GL bride of the week is the beautiful Amber Milne. Amber married the love of her life Tommy at her charming family home in West Sussex, England. Their wedding brought together family and friends from the UK and Australia for an unforgettable celebration. As told by Amber:
How did you meet your husband?
We met in Cairns at a skate park about 7 years ago.
How did he propose?
He proposed on holiday with my family in Majorca, Spain on the boat jetty after driving the boat to a remote restaurant on another island.
How did you find your perfect dress? And how did you decide to buy it?
I came to Sydney for a few dress fittings as my maid of honour lives there, her old work colleague was working at Eternal Bridal. It was the first place we went and the 2nd dress I tried on and we all knew it was the one!
Where was your wedding?
Our wedding was at my family home in the UK, West Sussex.
What was the theme? Did it require special planning? Share with us.
My amazing mum organized the whole thing! She felt like she was a bride again haha! The theme was black tie.
Which was your favorite part?
My favourite part was the whole lead up to the big day, having all friends and family from the UK and Australia in the same place at the same time was magical! It’s the company that make a wedding!
How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?
The dress was instantly the one when I put it on, it was a completely different style that I had even considered in my head but nothing else came into the same league as Georgia! My maid of honour planned everything so I had not heard of the brand beforehand.
Where did you purchase the dress?
I purchased the dress for Eternal Bridal in Sydney Australia.
What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?
Being able to put your own personal touch to every detail and tailoring it to your own personality. We had a very formal black tie theme but chose a teepee to make it feel more bohemian and relaxed just like our beach lifestyle in cairns. My heals were off straight after the ceremony and thongs on!
Was your wedding the way you dreamed it?
I don’t think it was possible for it to be any more perfect, maybe it could have been longer! It went way too fast!!
