Bride of the day: Amanda

Meet our lovely bride, Amanda who got married in Majorca, Spain. She looked absolutely ravishing in a  custom designed gown made by us. It was such a delight to receive all her beautiful pictures of Natan from her wedding day and we’re thrilled to share them with you! We did a special interview with our sweet Amanda where she shared captivating details leading up to her wedding day. Check it out!

1. With so many bridal options today, what was the deciding factor when it came to picking out your gown?

I fell in love with Galia Lahavs 2013 at tropez collection (specifically the pearl) in 2012/13– I never even saw the front of it, I saved the picture and 2 or so years later brought it with me when it was time to shop! I loved that it was unique and sexy, I was never the “classic” type. When I got engaged, decided to have a destination wedding and started shopping I made my appointment, showed up & showed the girls at bridal reflections the picture. Of course it was 2 years later, and that dress was no longer being produced, so I tried on the Jasmine and the Amy and combined the 2 to make my own ! It couldn’t have been more perfect for a July wedding in Spain.

2. How did you meet your husband and how did you know he was the one?

I was friends with my husband’s brother for a few years, took some college classes together, went out with our friends together…and eventually a couple of different groups of friends started hanging out. One night in NYC, Sal & I just hit it off and I just wanted to spend every moment with him. When we finally started dating, I knew it was a different type of relationship than I had ever known and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

3. Where did you get married and can you tell us about your wedding day?

We got married at Son Marriog in Majorca, Spain. We were researching destination weddings in Europe, and one of our friends had always spoke so highly of Majorca. I came across a picture of this altar [where we would later hold our ceremony] and I said THIS IS IT! Didn’t know where it was – linked up with a wedding planner [Christina Von Hunnius of Fairytale Weddings] sent her the picture and said I want to get married HERE! The day of the wedding was absolutely magical. We had never been there, never checked it out, no taste tests or anything – planned everything from NYC. We got ready at our hotel (Riu Palace Bonanza Playa) in Illetas, about 45 minutes from the venue. We took separate buses to the location in Déia all the way up in the mountains had a very special first look that our photographer Natan Sans and videographer Pere [Vision D Pelicula] captured. Our ceremony was on the edge of the mountains under that beautiful alter that I found in a Google image a year before, our cocktail hour in a gorgeous garden with the most delicious and bountiful food followed by a dinner and reception on the terrace. I still get chills thinking about it. Our wedding officiant Tony actually doubled as our MC for the party – he was one of the biggest hits! everyone loved him. Our DJ [Bono Solera] played great music, we shared our first dance to Ed Sheerhan’s Thinking Out Loud and had the best night of our lives.

4. What was the highlight of your special day?

Seeing the venue for the first time and seeing all this work that was planned from so far away come together in the most perfect way. Everything was just amazing. Seeing 60 of our closest friends and family having the best time ever was the best feeling! Savoring every moment of it with Sal by my side was definitely the icing on the cake.
