When it comes to weddings, we are always delighted to receive beautiful pictures of our brides wearing our creations and even more pleased to share these special moments with you. We had the great honor and pleasure to dress up Sophie for a day that will be indelibly printed on her mind. She looked dazzling in every single photo in our curving backless Gisele gown hand-made with a combination of antique laces, appliqué construction, tulle details, sparkly nets and encrusted pearled beading.
For more insights about Sophies special day, her love story, and how she found her dress, take an exclusive look of our following interview with our beautiful Sophie:
What was the deciding factor when it came to picking out your gown?
“My dream wedding designer is Galia Lahav – Haute Couture, and I was certain that I wanted to walk down the aisle to my future husband in one of her collections. Every piece of hers is stunning and perfection – its undeniable. I knew I wanted something sexy, yet very sweet and soft, and she created just that for me. I honestly felt like I was on a cloud!”
“My husband, Bryan, proposed to me in Tokyo, Japan, a country that I had been dreaming to visit since I was a little girl. He made that dream a reality by not only taking me to Japan in December 2013, but also taking my hand in marriage and proposing to me on one knee on top of Sky Deck of Mori Tower overlooking the beautiful city lights and buildings of Tokyo. To me, it was perfect.”
3. Where did you get married and tell us about your wedding day?
“Bryan and I had the same vision of how we wanted our wedding day to be – solemn and classic yet sweet and elegant. Both born and raised in Los Angeles – Ca, The London Hotel in West Hollywood located in the heart of LA was the perfect location to have our family and friends celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. Not to mention the exquisite details of this hotel. Everything about The London Hotel was exactly what we wanted – from the gold details, to the neutral-white tones, to the elegantly manicured english-style rose garden overlooking the city’s skyline, to the exquisite gourmet cuisine from Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay. To us, it was all about the details.
We wanted our wedding day to be timeless while reflecting our own personality and interests. Getting married in a Catholic church was very important to us and couldn’t have picked a more perfect place than at St. Monica in Santa Monica, California. We wanted a sweet, lush look so we came up with a color palette of blush and ivory with a touch of gold and black. Bryan’s tuxedo and shoes, and my shoes and accessories were by Saint Laurent Paris (YSL or better known as SLP), one of our favorite designer brands.
Our wedding day was everything we have ever imagined and more – solemn and classic, sweet and elegant – but we are certainly ready and looking forward to the best part of it all: our marriage” ♡
