Bride of the Day: Louise

Galia Lahav’s bride of the day is Louise Brown, from London who outstandingly wore the Odette gown and revealed all sources of beauty and wedding inspiration. It is with outmost pleasure to be part of such an drastic life time event for our brides and to give them the wedding experience they deserve! Hearing Louise’s story from the moment she and her husband met the the moment she walked down the isle is overwhelming with excitement and joy. Congratulations to the newly weds!

I brought my wedding gown from Brown’s Bride in London on the 19th December 2014 and what made me say yes to the Odette wedding gown was the attention to detail and how the dress was exactly what I imagined my wedding dress to be and it is very much my style. I always go for fitted feminine dresses and I loved how beautifully shaped the Odette is. Once I found my wedding dress I couldn’t picture myself getting married in anything else. I couldn’t even compare to other designers. I was lucky enough to have Galia herself measure me for my wedding dress. The dress has gorgeous lace, pearls and Swarovski crystals that all tied in with my wedding theme and I just felt complete but if I had to pinpoint what sold it for me, it had to be the low back and detail, so beautiful and elegant.

I met my Husband 5 years ago and the first time we met was our very first date. From that day on we have been inseparable and couldn’t imagine my life without him, not only is he my husband but he is my best friend and I realised at the very start that he was the one for me.

It is very hard to pick a highlight from our wedding day as the day was the best day of our lives, but if I had to choose it has to be seeing my husband at the end of the aisle and marrying him whilst sharing that moment with our closest friends and family.

There was miscommunication on the day of our wedding and the rings were not at our ceremony. However me and my husband had no idea and when it came to the point for the rings to be exchanged the best man gave us two gold rings which was not our rings! I was so confused and couldn’t believe we didn’t have our wedding rings! But it turns out the gold ring that Liam put on my finger was my mothers wedding ring who is happily married to my dad for over 30 years and my husbands ring was his dad’s wedding ring who is also in a long happy marriage. We laugh about it now and it turned out to be quite a nice little story.

Galia staff have been absolutely amazing. I cannot fault the service at all, beautiful dresses that stand out from the rest. I have to mention the team at Brown’s Brides in London were fantastic: I am so happy with my wedding dress and the service I received, especially from Bernadeta who made my wedding gown fit me perfectly, Bernadeta also came to my wedding and helped me get ready in the dress and made the gown look amazing for my photos, a lovely lady and a wonderful asset to the Brown’s Bride team.
